Principal's Message

Dear Doig Families,

As we make preparations to open our campus and classrooms for the 2026-2027 school year we hope that you and your family have found the time to relax and enjoy the summer. As the principal of Doig Intermediate,  I’m very excited to continue the work we began last year with our students. It has been a year of growth in many areas which has resulted in our students excelling academically and in developing their interpersonal skills.

We cannot wait to see our students and families on the first day of school Monday, August 10th. Please keep in mind a few upcoming important items to complete before starting the school year.

  • Please complete the online data confirmation using your Aeries Parent Portal.
    • If you need assistance in completing the data confirmation form on Aeries, our office will be happy to assist you starting Monday, July 27th to Monday, August 3rd at 9:00 a.m. or feel free to contact the school office at 714-663-6241 if you have any questions.

  • The office will be closed from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. for lunch on July 27th until August 7th.

  • 7th Grade Parent Orientation is Monday, August 3rd at 6:00 p.m.

  • Student Registration Day, Tuesday, August 4th from 9:00am to 12:00pm (Pick up class schedule, PE clothes, Chromebook, etc.)

Our main goal at Doig Intermediate School is to provide all students with an excellent educational program. Together, we will be able to provide all students with a positive educational experience in a safe learning environment. We encourage your involvement in your child’s education and your feedback on how to make our school a better place.

We have a variety of opportunities for families to get involved, which include ELAC, SSC, or our Parent Workshops. A flier will be sent to parents in the coming weeks.

Thank you for the opportunity to serve our community. Please do not hesitate in reaching out to us if you have any questions, concerns, or ideas you would like to share.

Sincerely,

Mr. Alvarez
