Students learn organization, study skills, communication, self-advocacy, how to take structured notes, and answer and ask high-level questions that go beyond routine answers to prepare for college and career success.

AVID Excel provides explicit instruction in literacy and academic language for multilingual scholars with a focus on reading, writing, oral language, academic vocabulary, and college readiness skills

With support from college tutors, this class teaches academic and essential skills like focus note-taking, time management, critical reading, and academic writing to support student success in middle school.
